Summary

This article takes a feminist look at gender-specific support services through the establishment of intersectional integration approaches. The concept of intersectionality, which was coined in Critical Race Feminism, has experienced an expansion of structural categories in recent years, which can also be extended in the context of female Nigerian and Chinese survivors of human trafficking. This article is based on the research results of the transnational EU project INTAP, in which survivors of trafficking and experts were interviewed about opportunities and hindrances to integration. This article elaborates on continuing challenges of integration and how these can be adequately met by means of an intersectional approach to integration, in particular with the help of a Person of Trust.
