Summary
This manual predominantly presents quantitative research approaches. Apart from detailed consideration and regions of application it would have been welcome to include a closer look at qualitative approaches or a mixed-method-orientation for a more balanced message of this volume. Especially the disregard of (sometimes controversially) discussed online research topics is somewhat conspicuous – for example Nicola Döring from the Ilmenau Technical University could have relevantly contributed with her research topics. Unfortunately, it remains unexplicable why certain groups of users are excluded – especially with the background of critical perspectives as given by the German Federal Centre for Health Education.
