Are flats also pedagogical contexts or is dwelling a private matter in contrary to public spheres and spaces? And what does it mean to live in a public house in the context of the child and youth welfare? This book deals with the life of young people in public welfare institutions. It problematizes the relationship of the private sphere to the public sphere as a constitutive essential of the bourgeois society. The central question is how public education influences the private life, especially the private sphere of dwelling of the young clients. The articles offer approaches for the further development of the theoretical drafts, which should be of interest of the Social Work and the Social Pedagogy.
