Summary
The anthology „Heterogeneity and Educational Media“ edited by Aaamotsbakken, Matthes & Schütze brings together contributions from the Annual Conference of the International Society for Historical and Systematic Research on Textbooks and Educational Media (IGSBi), held in Oslo in 2016. Against the background of a very broad concept of heterogeneity, the book aims at contributing theoretical and empirical findings on educational media, recognising the challenge of heterogeneous learning groups, which the work completely achieves. The book includes a very wide range of international contributions, which can be of use to interested practitioners, students and educational policy-makers as well as to researcher colleagues. This is all the more so because some very innovative fields are opened up, which give reason to think about new perspectives on the concept of media and heterogeneity.
