Discussion
The „Montag Stiftung Jugend und Gesellschaft“ (Montag charity for youth and society) compiles experiences with the implementation of inclusion from more than 30 communities and makes them comprehensible for the audience. A well-wrought mix of theoretical parts, reports of professional and voluntary promoters, organizational and structural references as well as interviews and -excerpts present these experiences in a vivid way. The specific statements/ results about the implementation of inclusion locally are embedded in the internal logic of the structure. The structure is guided by the practical steps for such an implementation. In general, only distinctive statements are being cited, partial results presented and essential substeps towards inclusion in different areas highlighted. The extensive material which is provided by the communities from their treasure of experiences is available for download. The attendant sketches bring joy and add a final touch to a reflecting creativity of the people on their way to inclusion. Based on the words of Y. Vockerodt (p. 10) this book emboldens to participate and replicate. However, the audience should have previous knowledge and preferably prior experiences regarding the implementation of inclusive concepts. It is a manual in a positive way, a book to learn from but less a textbook.
Summary
This experiential manual reminds of a volume of photographs from a productive educational leave. The audience flips through and behind every „image“ hides a story, a report can be found or there are practical guides. Due to this vivid format one may compile their own suggestions whichever demand there might be. And this, to offer knowledge and experience which can be accessed on demand, is a form of inclusion.
