Summary

The volume offers a compact and easy-to-read summary of the history of clinical supervision in the development line of social work in Western Germany. It contextualizes the development of clinical supervision in society and working worlds, especially in the early days of their introduction. In doing so, the empirical research performance has to be emphasized. It is interesting to read for counselling and consulting scientists. Nevertheless, readers familiar with the history of clinical supervision in Germany will find little new in matter.
