Summary
This book is the result of the DGfE Section Conference on Special Needs Education 2019 in Wuppertal. The very short contributions are more or less closely orientated to the conference motto "Special needs education and educational research – Stranger sisters?". However, the volume also offers a very good, broad insight into current special educational research as well as theory formation and concept development. In this respect, it can be recommended for such an insight and overview to all researchers in special education and educational science – as well as to people in educational practice who are interested in the current scientific discourse, here specifically on the references addressed in the conference motto.
