Summary
The publication provides a very good overview of the joint project "Knowledge Transfer in Cultural Education" funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the framework of empirical educational research. The team of the Federal Academy for Cultural Education Wolfenbüttel and the International University of Applied Sciences have been able to recruit authors who can provide an extended insight into the topic "How can knowledge transfer between science and practice succeed in cultural education". Theory and artistic practice, two different focal points of work, are to find each other in dialogue. Not an easy task, as becomes clear again and again in the individual contributions. Also, that there is no alternative if cultural education is to be successful.
