Summary

While Csef pointed out with good reason in chapter four the lack of empirical clinical evidence regarding the connection between resilience and coping with trauma, the following chapters reveal the fascination of the psychoanalyst Csef, a specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, who increasingly idealises the research approaches to resilience within epigenetics, brain research and neuropsychoanalysis, and thus illustrates the extent to which this concept is suitable as a "projection surface for the phantasmagoria of human invincibility" (Gabriel 2005, p. 215).
