Summary
The solitary character of the concept suggested in the book as well as the affirmative, often less critical and partly "mission"-driven gesture in the book does not make LdL any more likeable. As a universal didactic principle and teaching concept, the concept is ideologically exaggerated and should be viewed with considerable scepticism – in terms of its scope, the claimed claim to educational justice and the empirical evidence for its effectiveness. Those interested can find out what good teaching is and how reciprocal teaching-learning can be meaningfully embedded in it in the standard works of modern didactics (Meyer, 2007; Steffens & Höfer, 2016; Wahl, 2013; Wahl et al., 2020).
