Summary

The book focuses on corporate social work and thus on a little-researched field of social work. The focus on work tasks and the competences required for this as well as the framing by CSR is certainly specific, but due to the empirical approach via company social counsellors, it provides an up-to-date insight into practice that has hardly been systematically researched to date. The study, which was written as a dissertation, also provides information on the current state of research and theory development in the field. A well-structured, systematic presentation and comprehensible language emphasise that this is a book worth reading for an audience from practice and science, which also allows students to familiarise themselves with the field of occupational social work.
