Summary

All the groundbreaking experiences, all the dynamics of failure, all the painful personal insights do not hinder the courage Schwabe hopes for, despite everything, to break new ground. The book, which is easy to read (despite all the effort required to read it), uses sometimes even spirited language to explore fundamental questions of (social) pedagogy, never denying the limits of education, but sounding them out precisely. In this respect, it challenges not only educators to read it critically.
