Summary

Gerhard Stapelfeldt explains, as the title suggests, Russia’s war of annihilation against Ukraine as the end of globalization. He describes this war as a consequence of global society and its history of violence and he suggests that it marks the beginning of a period of global war. This critique is disillusioning and at the same time tries to form a basis for the hope of peace.
